Development Associate
Development Associates contribute to all aspects of developing, permitting, constructing, financing, and managing Estuary’s projects. This role is envisioned for someone who has recently completed a bachelor’s degree or with up to 3 years of work experience after a bachelor’s degree.
Development Associates will:
· Work with Estuary management and senior associates to conceptualize new projects and evaluate their feasibility.
· Manage the numerous diverse work streams comprising our projects and transactions.
· Coordinate project details across a wide range of disciplines.
· Maintain schedules and budgets and drive overall project progress.
· Build and maintain relationships with landowners, energy customers, consultants, authorities, community stakeholders, contractors, and vendors.
· Research markets, regulations, and technologies to generate and evaluate opportunities.
· Coordinate all aspects of acquisition, divestiture, partnership, and financing transactions.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
· Well organized, diligent, and detail oriented.
· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
· Professional demeanor.
· Able to build relationships with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds.
· Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
· Enthusiasm for lean, hands-on, in-person environment and willingness to embrace a wide variety of roles, from very strategic to very executional.
· Proactive, self-motivated, intellectually curious.
· Able to travel out of town occasionally. Able to drive occasionally.
Engineering Associate
Engineering Associates contribute to all aspects of conceptualizing, developing, designing, constructing, and operating Estuary’s projects. This role is envisioned for someone who has recently completed a bachelor’s degree or with up to 3 years of work experience after a bachelor’s degree.
Engineering Associates will:
· Create initial project designs and energy production models.
· Develop expertise in technical, economic, and risk trade-offs, and drive thinking about how to optimize projects.
· Manage external engineering and technical consultants including defining work scope, ensuring work quality, and keeping work on schedule and budget.
· Review engineering designs, studies, and other deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
· Develop expertise in equipment relevant to our projects; coordinate procurement for construction, equipment, and other services.
· Assist with the evaluation of new technologies and maintaining approved vendor list for equipment.
· Ensure high quality construction and operation of our projects.
· Research markets, regulations, and technologies to generate and evaluate opportunities.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
· Well organized, diligent, and detail oriented.
· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
· Professional demeanor.
· Able to build relationships with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds.
· Desire and acumen to learn new engineering and computing skills and software as needed.
